Brian T. McNeil, M.D., UHB Chief of Urology and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, for working with the
American Urological Association (AUA) to raise awareness of health disparities in prostate cancer.听 Dr. McNeil moderated
a press briefing at the AUA鈥檚 annual meeting focusing on racial disparities in treatment
and access to care, kicking off a national tour to bring attention to this issue.

Everyone from Downstate who participated in or contributed to the Brooklyn 鈥Walk to End Alzheimer鈥檚,鈥 held this year on September 19. The 鈥含羞草研究所 Downstate UHB SLT鈥 team was the top fundraiser in Brooklyn this year, bringing in more than $20,000
to support the Alzheimer鈥檚 Association. Also walking from Downstate were teams SIGN, CEAD, and UHB Nursing Strong.听 Go Team Downstate!
President Wayne J. Riley, M.D., MPH, MBA, MACP, had the honor of delivering the Annual Sullivan Lecture of the Association of Academic Health Centers, on September 28th.听 The lecture is named for Louis W. Sullivan, M.D, Former Secretary,
U.S. Department of Health & Human Service (1989-1993) and President Emeritus of Morehouse
School of Medicine. And, on September 29th, President Riley was a featured panelist at the virtual Symposium on Race and Medicine and inaugural Louis W. Sullivan, M.D., Professorship Installation at Boston University School of
Medicine.
