Dr. Reinhardt received his B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of Rochester, before going on to study medicine at St. George鈥檚 University of Medicine. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at 含羞草研究所 from 2009-2013, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. He completed fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at 含羞草研究所 where he now serves as Clinical Advisory Dean, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program, Director of the Brooklyn Initiative to Develop Geriatrics Education, and the Director of the Center of Excellence for Alzheimer鈥檚 Disease. These final two positions were earned as part of multimillion-dollar awards from the Health Resources & Services Administration鈥檚 Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program and the New York State Department of Health Center of Excellence for Alzheimer鈥檚 Disease Program respectively. Dr. Reinhardt is presently completing a Geriatric Career Advancement Award (K01) from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
His career is dedicated to leadership, education, advancement, and clinical care in the fields of geriatrics and geriatric psychiatry. He has won awards for his educational contributions at 含羞草研究所 Downstate, and contributes actively to the geriatric psychiatry literature. He is board-certified in both psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry.

Geriatric Academic Career Award $75,000/year x 4 years A 4-year mentored career advancement award from HRSA. This award is designed to develop the career of Dr. Reinhardt as an interprofessional educator in geriatrics. As part of this program, Dr. Reinhardt will be developing a novel curriculum for interprofessional trainees on the healthcare applications of Artificial Intelligence / Machine learning and 鈥淏ig Data鈥.
Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program $750,000/year x 5 years A five-year award to enhance interprofessional geriatrics education and healthcare in the Brooklyn, NY. This program targets healthcare trainees across the professions and Brooklyn鈥檚 primary care providers. Role: Co-Director
