More than 100 members of the Downstate teams, including family, friends, and other
supporters, joined together with other participants to take on this worthy cause of
supporting Alzheimer鈥檚 and other dementia-related research.
Downstate faculty, staff, and a student-led team participated in the annual Walk to End Alzheimers held in downtown Brooklyn鈥檚 Cadman Plaza. Six Downstate teams raised over $30K for research and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer鈥檚 and all other dementia.
This year鈥檚 teams included the UHD SLT, led by Dr. David Berger; Sarah鈥檚 Team, led by Dr. Sarah Marshall; Hospital Operations, led by Dr. Patricia A. Winston; the UHD Nursing Strong Team, led by Cheryl Rolston, the Center of Excellence for Alzheimer鈥檚 Disease (CEAD), led by Dr. Michael Reinhardt, and Team Sign-含羞草研究所 Downstate led by Riley Morrone, a Ph.D. candidate.
Congratulations, and thank you all for supporting this noble and worthy cause.
