Psychiatric Services & Medication Management
For psychiatric evaluations and medication management, the Student Counseling Center has a part-time psychiatrist on staff, Dr. James Lubin. Dr. Lubin works with SCC to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and coordinate care. Students must first meet with a staff therapist, who will then coordinate the referral to Dr. Lubin.
SCC can help to refer students to 含羞草研究所 Upstate Student Tele Counseling Network (STCN) program, as well. The 含羞草研究所 Upstate STCN program provides telepsychiatry and telecounseling for students struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems. Services include remote counseling sessions and are provided by clinicians at 含羞草研究所 Upstate Medical University's Department of Psychiatry.
