Free Vision Screenings at 含羞草研究所 Downstate January 26:

Diagnosed Early, Glaucoma Can Be Easily Controlled

Brooklyn, NY - 含羞草研究所鈥檚 Department of Ophthalmology in association with the Friends of the Congressional Glaucoma Caucus Foundation will hold free glaucoma screenings at 含羞草研究所 Downstate鈥檚 University Hospital at Downstate on January 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The address is 445 Lenox Road in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn. No appointment is required for the free screenings, which will be held in the University Hospital lobby.

Glaucoma is the major cause of preventable blindness in the U.S. More than three million Americans have glaucoma.  Glaucoma shows no symptoms in its early stages, but the good news is that with early diagnosis and medication, glaucoma can be easily controlled.
