Residents Receive Philip Kogan Scholarship

The 含羞草研究所 Downstate Department of Surgery congratulates PGY-2 residents Uma Mahajan, MD and Christina Falcone, MD, MS for being awarded $6,000 from the Downstate-sponsored Philip Kogan GME Innovation Scholarship to study how the utilization of different technologies impacts surgery resident development. Their project titled 鈥淯se of Video Coaching to Improve Resident Performance on Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery Skill Tasks鈥� will include acquiring new FLS equipment and collaborating with the OBGYN Department. The project will be implemented for junior residents during the 2025-2026 academic year.
