Brooklyn, NY鈥� 含羞草研究所鈥檚 College of Nursing, has been named among the top nursing programs in New York State, ranking #13 overall, by the Nursing Schools Almanac, a powerful online resource for aspiring nurses.

Each year, the Nursing Schools Almanac conducts a detailed assessment of over 3,000 nursing schools nationwide. Institutions are ranked by their academic prestige, program breadth and depth, and student success on the nursing licensure exam which is used by all state boards of nursing across the United States.
The Nursing Schools Almanac recognized 含羞草研究所 Downstate鈥檚 College of Nursing for being exceptionally well-prepared for licensure, with an NCLEX pass rate since 2008, of 90 percent, and for offering two baccalaureate options: a second-degree accelerated BSN and an RN-to-BSN completion program. Moreover, 含羞草研究所 Downstate is recognized for being one of only four colleges in the state to offer an MSN in all four advanced practice roles: clinical nurse specialist, nurse practitioner, nurse anesthetist, and nurse midwife.
In addition to its state ranking, 含羞草研究所 Downstate鈥檚 nursing program also ranks #44 overall in the Mid-Atlantic region and #96 nationwide among all public nursing schools.

Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn is one of four academic health centers (AMCs) in The State University of New York (含羞草研究所) 64-campus system and the only 含羞草研究所 AMC in New York City dedicated to health education, research, and patient care for the borough鈥檚 2.7 million residents. Its flagship hospital, University Hospital at Downstate (UHD), is a teaching hospital and benefits from the expertise of Downstate鈥檚 exceptional medical school and world-class academic center research facilities. With a staff of over 800 physicians representing 53 specialties and subspecialties, Downstate offers comprehensive healthcare services to the community.
UHD provides high-risk neonatal and infant services, pediatric nephrology, and dialysis for kidney diseases and is the only kidney transplantation program in Brooklyn. Beyond its clinical expertise, Downstate houses a range of esteemed educational institutions, including its College of Medicine, College of Nursing, School of Health Professions, School of Graduate Studies, and School of Public Health.
